Hi, I'm Donisha! (she/her)

I am so excited that you're here! As any good mental and relational health pro will tell you, the relationship between the therapist and the client is the MOST IMPORTANT factor in predicting successful outcomes from the therapeutic process. Developing safety and trust is the foundation of building that relationship. Part of how we begin to build that trust, is in my willingness to be open with my clients about who I am. Because who I am as a human comes with me into the therapy room. And that matters alot when it comes to determining who would be the right fit to work with me. And me with them.​

As both a therapist, and a human; I value authenticity over stereotypical “professionalism.” I understand that there are certain ideas that people may have been taught about what a “good” therapist looks and behaves like. Something I pride myself on is being unapologetically myself in this work. Which means I show up as a real person in the space. There are no fancy suits, "blank-slate" therapy style, or overcomplicated jargon with me. You will see me wear comfy clothes, you will hear me drop the"f" bomb when I am feeling passionate (probably a lot), and you will learn pretty quickly that I don't take myself too seriously. I show up as myself, hoping that it invites you to feel safe doing the same.
